Eugene Hwang is your champion here at #GPOrlando! His aggressive Mardu deck raided right through the competition on the way to a trophy finish. Check out the Facebook photo album from GP Orlando here. 2273 players entered the tournament on Saturday, and now only 2 remained. Would it be Eugene Hwang with his aggressive Mardu deck or Melissa Detora with Temur who hoisted the GP Orlando trophy?
Sol will be back at the Pro Tour after a long time off, but is no stranger to GP success, with a win at Grand Prix Tampa back in 2002. Pierre, no slouch himself, is coming off a Pro Tour Top 8 at Pro Tour Magic 2015. Will Sol move on to the semis with his Sultai deck with a minor splash for white to play Siege Rhino? Or can Pierre overrun him with his low-to-the-ground Mardu deck employing Ankle Shanker?
Former World Championship finalist Mark LePine is looking to earn his first Pro Tour appearance since 2001. Standing in his way is Ian Farnung, who hopes to keep the wheels on after an undefeated run on day 1.
Both players will be drafting tomorrow, but one player won’t have their back to the wall. Will Ben and his Abzan deck with Ivorytusk Fortress move on to 8-1 or would David Escalante and his Sultai deck with Rakshasa Deathdealer and Rakshasa Vizier get there?
Both of these seasoned professionals are well known Wild Nacatl aficionados, but would their affinity for attacking translate into the 40-card format?
