June 28-29 STANDARD
Congratulations to Reid Duke! The freshly minted Platinum pro is starting off the next season right, with a Grand Prix victory in Standard while playing Jund, his favorite archetype. Tune in again next week for the SCG Open Series in Worcester!

Reid Duke 2-1

Reid Duke 2-1
After outlasting Brad Nelson in a marathon match for the semifinals, Reid now had to handle Josh McClain’s Reanimator deck—a matchup he considered quite favorable. In fact, he’d taken down a number of Reanimator players over the course of the tournament... could he beat one more?
While the opposite side of the bracket has the two headlining stars of the event, Josh McClain and Valentin Mackl have more than proven their worth. Which of these underdogs, running Hexblade and Junk Rites respectively, can secure a birth in the semifinals?
Christoffer Larssen had just joined Michael Bonde and Joel Larsson for a whirlwind tour of the United States, hitting a handful of Grand Prix and ending with the StarCityGames.com Invitational in Somerset. Josh McClain, of Iowa City, was no stranger to the Grand Prix scene himself and sought to notch a win for Junk Reanimator.
This weekend began with 1258 players. Today began with 156 players. Now, at the beginning of round 11, only three players remain with unscathed 10-0 records. Two of them are battling this round, and it’s only fitting that the MTGO juggernauts Fffreak and ReiderRabbit would enter the arena together for a live tournament battle.
