Quick Question: Which Legacy deck would you suggest to an Eternal beginner?
Which Legacy deck would you suggest to an Eternal beginner?
To a beginner I would suggest RUG Delver. It shows you exactly what Legacy is, which is making a lot of relevant decisions in the initial turns of the game. Good deck to play, hard deck to master.
Merfolk. It’s pretty easy to start learning, and there aren’t a lot of little intricacies. The plays are mostly straight-forward.
Manaless Dredge. I think it's hilarious.
Either something linear and tribal, where the synergies are obvious but also not the easiest, or a combo deck like Sneak and Show where you have a lot of interesting decisions with a lot of reward.
Metalworker. I like it because it runs Chalice of the Void, which takes away a lot of decisions. You just blank a lot of stuff, and I think new players really would enjoy playing something ridiculously huge, like Blightsteel Colossus.
Burn. It’s just creatures and damage spells, and you can just play and see how things interact with you to learn the rest of the format slowly over time.
