Deck Tech: Eureka Show and Tell with Danny Batterman
Danny Batterman shows off his baby
We've seen several Show and Tell decks do well in Legacy by cheating either Progenitus or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into play. Danny used to play Hypergenesis, but wanted more power and more consistency, so he brewed up a version that takes it to the next level by adding the Legends rare Eureka and a slew of additional threats to power it up. This redundancy allows him to start dropping bombs on turn two, only stopping when the opponent is dead. He doesn't need to set up or protect any of his pieces, instead opting to brute force his way to victory.
One of the coolest parts of Danny's deck is the pair of Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, giving him an out to things like Blazing Archon, which is a real threat when Reanimator and Dredge decks are so powerful and popular. It also gives him a buffer against opposing Emrakuls by using Nicol Bolas' Mind Control ability. And really, who doesn't want to Eureka a Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker into play or pitch it to Force of Will?
Danny has been having a lot of local success with the deck and is off to a good start in today's Legacy Open. Check it out below.
