Finals: Joseph Moreno vs. Jimmy Dela Cruz
The finals pits Dredge vs. Sultai Delver! Will Joseph take it down with one of the most broken decks in the format or can Jimmy keep him honest?
Jimmy carefully studies his opponent’s graveyard.
Joseph kicked things off with a Careful Study, binning a Golgari Grave Troll while Jimmy had a Deathrite Shaman. Joseph began the Dredging and went for another Careful Study, but Jimmy had the Daze. Jimmy exiled the Stinkweed Imp with DRS and passed back. Joseph brought back an Ichorid, exiling Putrid Imp, and dredged a Golgari Thug. Joseph went for a third Study, but Jimmy had another Daze for it. When Ichorid died at the end step, Joseph got two Zombies from Bridge from Below.
Jimmy used DRS again, but this time he made mana off the Gemstone Mine to play a Tarmogoyf. Joseph brought back the Ichorid again and dredged over a Narcomeba. Joseph sent in Ichorid, two Zombies, and two Narcomebas. Jimmy blocked and killed a Zombie and fell to 11 from the attack. Joseph then sacrificed Ichorid to Cabal Therapy himself, naming Goglari Thug, while getting two Zombies in the process. Jimmy Pondered and found a Misty Rainforest that fetched up an Underground Sea to play Brainstorm. Jimmy ended his tur by playing another DRS.
Joseph brought back Ichorid, exiling a Thug, and dredged another Thug before attacking with the team. Jimmy fell to 3 and Joseph got two more Zombies from the creatures blocked and killed in combat. With the death of the blocking DRS, the two Bridges were also removed from the game. Jimmy simply played a Delver of Secrets for the turn and passed back.

He fetched up a Tropical Island and played Deathrite Shaman. Jimmy Firestormed, discarding two cards to kill the DRS and dealt two to Jimmy.
Jimmy added Delver of Secrets and another DRS and shipped the turn. Joseph played a Careful Study and passed back after playing a Gemstone Mine. Jimmy flipped his Delver with a Force of Will and Joseph had seen enough.

Joseph opened with a Man Confluence, Lion’s Eye Diamond, and a Careful Study in the final game of the tournament, discarding a Bridge from Below and Golgari Thug. He followed it with another LED and a Lotus Petal to play Breakthrough, dredging the Thug and discarding his hand in the process. Joseph cracked an LED to flashback Faithless Looting, dredging a bunch with the Thug, then cracking the other LED to play another Looting, dredging a chunk of his deck, hitting no Narcomebas.
Jimmy opened with Delver of Secrets and passed the turn as Jimmy let out a sigh of relief, seeing no graveyard hate on the other side of the board. Joseph returned two copies of Ichorid and dredged the Stinkweed Imp, hitting one Narcomeba. He flashed back Cabal Therapy by sacrificing an Ichorid, naming and missing on Dismember, but getting two Zombies in the process. He used another Therapy, giving up the other Ichorid, getting the Tarmogoyf then attacked with his Ichorid. Jimmy chumped with his Delver, giving Joseph two more Zombies, but exiling the Bridges. Joseph hit himself with a Therapy to get rid of the Grave Troll and returned it to play with Dread Return.
Jimmy could only hit the Mana Confluence with his Wasteland and passed. Joseph got his Ichorids back and attacked for 19 so Jimmy used a Darkblast on Zombie to fall to 3. Jimmy drew for his turn and extended the hand.
