Finals: William Miller vs. John Kassari
John Kassari is on his second Top 8 of the weekend, but he fell short of the title in standard. He's hoping to there in the finals of the Legacy Open against William Miller's U/W Stoneblade, a deck that has been crushing the last few Legacy Opens.
William played a second land and summoned Stoneforge Mystic to get Umezawa's Jitte, hoping to blank John's. John tried Knight of the Reliquary but was met by John's Force of Will removing Jace, the Mind Sculptor. William was somewhat safe for the time being, but he had to say go with the Stoneforge Mystic and three lands ready.

John kept the heat on with Umezawa's Jitte, but it was stopped by Mana Leak. Tarmogoyf snuck through behind it and John finished his turn with Maze of Ith. William used his Stoneforge Mystic to flop Umezawa's Jitte into play on John's end step and equipped it to his Stoneforge Mystic. He was running out of cards and had to stay home against the Tarmogoyf.
John's Scryb Sprite was Spell Snared, leaving John empty handed. John sent with Tarmogoyf and William blocked with Stoneforge Mystic, putting two counters on the Umezawa's Jitte. William had nothing on his turn and said go.
A Green Sun's Zenith for 3 got Knight of the Reliquary and John used Wasteland on William's Mishra's Factory, leaving William with an Island and a Plains. Swords to Plowshares got rid of the knight, but Tarmogoyf cut the clock down to just one more turn. John found a third land and passed the turn with one card in hand.

William Miller is looking to make it three Legacy Open wins in a row for U/W Stoneblade
John drew and said go without a land, but had the Spell Snare to stop Stoneforge Mystic. John drew and said go again, letting Green Sun's Zenith for one resolve. John got Noble Hierarch to start deploying spells while William found Tower of the Magistrate.
John passed the turn without attacking and flashed in Aven Mindcensor on William's next end step and attacked for three in the air. A second Aven Mindcensor arrived and the air force started taking huge chunks out of the mana-light opponent.
Four, four, four and William was down to one last turn. He drew, found nothing and extended the hand, succumbing to the aven air force.
