Eric gets ready for Game 2.
Eric pitched his opener once again while Jadine kept her seven-card hand. Eric went to four before finding a keeper and led with a Gemstone Mine and passed. Jadine Probed to see Ichorid, Gemstone Mine, and Cephalid Coliseum. Jadine played a Delver of Secrets and passed the turn. Eric played his second Mine and passed.
Jadine failed to flip her Delver and attacked for one then played Pithing Needle, misnaming Lion’s Eye Diamond, and a Nimble Mongoose before passing. Eric played a City of Brass and played Stinkweed Imp. Jadine flipped the Delver with a Stifle reveal, played a Tarmogoyf and a second Delver before passing. Eric drew a card and passed with no action.
Jadine flipped her second Delver with Ponder, then played the cantrip and used another Probe to see another Ichorid joining the party. Eric played a second City of Brass and played Ichorid that attacked Jadine down to 14. Jadine started her next turn with a Brainstorm then destroyed a Mine with a Wasteland and attacked with the team. Eric put the Imp in front of the Tarmogoyf and fell to 9. Jadine added a new Tarmogoyf to the board and passed.
Eric dredged the Imp then played and activated the Coliseum which enabled a lot of dredging, about 20 cards. Eric then used a Cabal Therapy, sacrificing one of three Narcomeba, with one Bridge from Below trigger, naming Lightning Bolt, which missed, showing Force of Will and Stifle. Eric eventually decided to pass with just one zombie in play. Jadine attacked with her 3/2s and Eric chumped with his Narcomebas, getting two more zombies.
Eric brought back two copies of Ichorid during his upkeep and dredged Golgari Thug, getting another Bridge and Cabal Therapy in the graveyard. Eric used a Therapy, ditching an Ichorid, getting Jadine’s Force of Will, then went to 7 to play the Thug, but Jadine Dazed it. Eric flashed back Dread Return, getting two zombies off Bridge triggers, returning a Narcomeba to play and passed the turn.
Jadine attacked with her flyers and Eric chumped, getting two more zombies, falling to 4. Eric went to get two Ichorids back, but Jadine Stifled one of them. Eric dredged his Troll then attacked with his team to drop Jadine to 2 then passed. Jadine attacked with her flyers and Eric extended the hand.
