Quarterfinals: Jason Blackmor vs. Travis Wiggins
Jason is the top seed with the most represented deck in Day 2 with R/W Aggro. Can Jason continue his success or will Travis and Jeskai Tokens pull the upset?

Jason led off the quarterfinals with a Seeker of the Way on the play and Travis opted for a different two-drop, Soulfire Grand Master. Jason played Hordeling Outburst and got in for three leading Travis to play a Temple of Epiphany and passed back. Jason dropped an Outpost Siege and Travis responded by killing the Seeker with a Lightning Strike, gaining him three life. Jason held back his Goblins and passed the turn. Travis had an Outburst of his own and passed while Jason added another Seeker of the Way and a Grand Master of his own to the board.
Travis slammed a Jeskai Ascendancy and attacked with the team and fired off a Wild Slash on the Grand Master before blocks, but Jason convoked a Stoke the Flames on the opposing Grand Master. Both players lost their Grand Masters and Jason blocked a token, falling to 26. Jason got rid of a Goblin by Chaining it to the Rocks and attacked with everything but a Goblin. Travis landed a Brimaz, King of Oreskos and passed. Jason found a Brimaz of his own and played it match threats before shipping the turn.
Travis started his next turn with a Temple of Triumph and delved away five cards to play Treasure Cruise before attacking with his team. Before blocks, Travis used a Stoke the Flames on the opposing Brimaz, triggering Ascendancy again, leading Jason to decide on blocks. Jason decided to take eight, falling to 21, but managed to kill the cat token. Jason untapped and found two Hordeling Outbursts and attacked with the Seeker, which Travis chumped with a Goblin, bringing Jason back up to 24.
Travis attacked with his cats and used a Lighting Strike to kill the Seeker of the Way and Jason chumped Brimaz and took two damage. Travis had nothing after combat and Jason got a Lighting Strike off his Siege and hit Travis for three, dropping him to 11, before playing a Wind-Scarred Crag. Travis Raised the Alarm at the end step, untapped, played a Grand Master, and attacked with the team. Jason lined up his blocks, chumping Brimaz and double-blocking a soldier token. Travis responded with a Wild Slash on a Goblin that wasn’t involved in combat, then used a Stoke the Flames , dropping Jason to 19, bringing Travis to 17, then damage happened killing all of Jason’s blockers and dropping him to 10.
Jason hit a land off his Siege and pointed a Lightning Strike at the Grand Master before passing back with two Goblins on defense. Travis deployed a Goblin Rabblemaster and attacked with his team. Jason put a Goblin in front of Brimaz and Travis had no plays, leaving Jason alive for another turn. Jason revealed another land off his Siege and another from his hand and picked up his permanents.

Both players started with a Temple of Triumph and Jason had a Seeker of the Way that Travis matched with one of his own. Jason played a Hordeling Outburst and got in for three. Travis attacked with his Seeker and passed with three open mana. Jason dropped a Goblin Rabblemaster and attacked with his team. Travis responded with a Raise the Alarm and double-blocked the Seeker, taking the four from the Goblins. Travis built up his board, dropping to 12 from his lands, with another Seeker and a Soulfire Grand Master.
Jason played a Brimaz, King of Oreskos and used a Stoke the Flames to kill the Grand Master and sent in the rest of his creatures. Travis traded his Seeker for the Rabblemaster and fell to 11. Travis added Jeskai Ascendancy to his board and passed back with his Seeker on the defense. Jason used Stoke the Flames on the Seeker and knocked Travis to 5 with a board of tokens.
Travis played a Hordeling Outburst, looting with his enchantment, and passed. Jason shoved his team into the red zone and Travis had no tricks up his sleeve so Jason evened up the match.

Travis, on the play for the first time in the match, led with a Temple of Epiphany while Jason had a Temple of Triumph. Travis dropped to 19 to fetch a Plains and deployed Seeker of the Way. Jason went to 21 with Wind-Scarred Crag and passed the turn. Travis attacked for 2 and played Brimaz, King of Oreskos. Jason scryed a card away with another Temple and made his first play, exiling Brimaz with a Glare of Hersey.
Travis dropped Jeskai Ascendancy and hit for three with his Seeker before playing another Temple and shipped the turn. Jason played Hordeling Outburst and passed back. Travis copied with an Outburst and attacked Jason down to 12 when he offered no blocks and Travis went up to 24. Jason dropped Circle of Flame and pointed an Arc Lighting at the Seeker but Travis responded by fetching a Plains and Raised the Alarm to grow his Seeker to keep it alive. Jason decided not to attack and passed.
Travis attacked and fired off Raise the Alarm to keep his team alive and Jason went to trade Goblins. Jason fell to 4 and Travis went to 27 and lost his Goblins. Jason rebuilt with another Outburst and a Brimaz before passing. Travis delved seven to play Treasure Cruise, looting away a Monastery Mentor, and found a Stoke to hit Jason for 4 and took the match.
