Round 2: Kevin Jones vs. Kent Ketter
Kent, equipped with Mardu packed with Stormbreath Dragons, enters Round 2 looking to rebound with a win after dropping his first match against Gerard Fabiano. Kevin is one of many players piloting Jeskai Tokens and is seeking a 2-0 start. Which player and clan will get the win?
Kent strikes down an opposing creature.
Kent was the first to the board with a Seeker of the Way, but Kevin took it down with a Lightning Strike at his end step, untapped, and passed with no third land. Kent had a replacement Seeker and a land, but Kevin had another Strike for it. Kevin found his third land and played Goblin Rabblemaster, getting in for 1 with the token. Kent added a Temple of Triumph to his board and Chained the Rabblemaster to the Rocks.
Kevin attacked with one Goblin and made three more with a Hordeling Outburst. Kent found his own threat, a Stormbreath Dragon, and it came into play tapped and attacking. Kevin served in with his Goblins, knocking Kent to 14 and passed back still without white mana. Kent added an Ashcloud Phoenix to his offense and attacked for 4 more with the Dragon, dropping Kevin to 12. Kevin killed the Phoenix with a Lightning Strike and Kent moved the Phoenix to his graveyard, missing the trigger to turn it into a morph.
Kevin attacked again with his Goblins and passed back. Kent found his seventh land, made his Dragon Monstrous, hitting Kevin for 5, leading Kent to attack through the air for the win.

Kevin untaps to get back into the action.
This time Kevin was first to the board with a Seeker of the Way, and in similar fashion, Kent had a Lightning Strike for it. Kent deployed a Brimaz, King of Oreskos on three as Kevin Raised the Alarm. Kevin used his tokens and two lands to kill the Brimaz with a Stoke the Flames, allowing Kent to deploy Goblin Rabblemaster, getting in for 1 with the token. Kevin bricked on his land drop once again, passing, so Kent untapped, and played Scouring Sands, but Kevin responded using a Stoke the Flames to kill the Rabblemaster. Kent wiped Kevin’s board and got in for 1.
Kevin dropped to 10 using his freshly drawn Shivan Reef to play Hordeling Outburst. Kent attacked with his tokens after playing another Rabblemaster and Kevin decided to trade with two of his. Kevin killed the Rabblemaster with a Lightning Strike and Kent added a Seeker of the Way to his board. Kevin reloaded with more Goblins off Hordeling Outburst, but Kent had a Chandra to start picking them off and attacking with his team. Kevin traded off again, took a draw, and extended the hand.
