Round 6: Garett Young vs. David Kolschowsky
Back to his old tricks after some time playing Dredge, Garett was playing Charbelcher today. David knew it, but there wasn't much he could do about it—Burn wasn't known for its versatile disruption, after all. Garett expected a quick match!
Garett's poised for a Top 8 finish with his favorite archetype.
Turn 1 Land+Grant revealed two Gitaxian+Probes, Desperate Ritual, Pyretic+Ritual, Chrome+Mox, and Empty+the+Warrens. Paying 2 life to see Goblin+Guide, Fireblast, Lava+Spike, and Price+of+Progress, Garett fell to 16 before casting Chrome+Mox with no imprint, followed by Lion%27s+Eye+Diamond, Rite of Flame, the Rituals… and Empty+the+Warrens for 18 1/1 Goblins.

David mulliganed to start game 2, in search of some sideboard hate no doubt, while Garett quickly kept. David's six weren't any better, so he dropped to five… then four. Starting Mountain and Figure of Destiny, David passed. Gitaxian+Probe revealed Mountain and Chain+Lightning, which meant Garett could get to work.
Removing two Guides, one of each color, he cast Desperate Ritual into Seething+Song, with Taiga and Lotus+Petal putting him to seven mana. Then he played Goblin+Charbelcher for the deck, ending the game on the spot—awkward!
