Semifinals: Brian Page vs. Benjamin Brueseke
The sun was barely over the horizon, but first seed Brian Page was ready to get to business against Benjamin Brueseke in a U/W Delver mirror. Brian got to choose to go first, which would likely be a huge advantage with so many shared cards.
Benjamin Brueseke shuffles his U/W Delver deck in the seminfinals.
Invisible Stalker and Runechanter's Pike make their way onto Brian's side without any hesitation, giving him a quick offense while Ben was stuck smoothing out his hand with a couple of Ponders. His Geist of Saint Traft provided a real threat against the weapon-toting Invisible Stalker, but Brian had his own copy of the legend to bin it.
The empty board let Brian's Invisible Stalker get to work on Ben's life total, and a pair of Thought Scour that spilled more instants into the graveyard helped push Ben's life total down to 12 in a hurry. Dungeon Geists weren't nearly good enough as Phantom Monsters against the rampaging Invisible Stalker, and two turns later Brian's Invisible Stalker had finished the job.

It's hard for Brian Page to lose with Jace on his shoulder.
Something about Brian's opener made him giddy even though he was on the draw in this game, but he was keeping it a secret. Three Delver of Secrets in the first few turns looked to be it, though Benjamin had one of his own and a Vapor Snag to slow down the first copy after transforming masterfully blind- flipping his wizard.
Brian's own skill showed itself as he blind-flipped his pair of Delver of Secrets and suddenly he was way ahead in the race. He played the last of his trips Delver of Secrets and happily shipped the turn as he sat on two Mana Leaks. Ben was forced to keep attacking with his single Insectile Aberration, but Brian's Mana Leaks rebuffed his attempts at clawing back into the game.
Then the third Delver of Secrets joined its friends in flight while Snapcaster Mage sitting in Brian's hand to keep Mana Leak ready. The 3/2 flying bugs made Ben's Geist of Saint Traft and Delver of Secrets look silly, but they made Brian victorious as they swooped in for the kill.
