Pick 3: I don't want to be Blue/Green, or dismiss my fist two picks, so I crossed the Huntmaster off my list. Fodder Launch tends to work better in aggro Red/Black Goblins decks.

I ended the first booster set on Black with my first and second pick Blue cards. I also had a Consuming Bonfire and Mudbutton Torchrunner, but I'd clearly rather use the Blue cards over the Red. There could be the possibility to go Red/Black splash Mulldrifter.

Pick 16: Jace Beleren Versus Eyeblight's Ending. Jace is the weakest of the Planeswalkers for Limited. Not only is his effect the one with the smallest impact since he can't protect himself the turn you play him (Chandra kills a creature, Ajani boosts the creatures and gives them Vigilance, and Garruk makes a creature), but his stats are also the weakest, meaning it's not that hard to kill him. It is still a good card... I just thought Eyeblight's Ending was more reliable, and I already had two Dreamspoiler Witches.

Pick 18: I was leaning towards picking Peppersmoke here. I changed last minute, because I didn't want to end up with that many copies (even though two is more than fine). We weren't even halfway through the draft, and in Blue/Black the three-mana slot is often empty.

Pick 31: I seriously thought about Thorntooth Witch, but I only had two Changelings thus far to trigger it, and most of the Treefolks are Green. I choose Whirlpool Whelm over Moonglove Extract because, in Blue/Black, Instant speed matters, and it was one more spell to trigger the Dreamspoiler Witches.

Round 1 I played versus a suboptimal Green/Black Elves deck. I sided in Nath's Buffoon for Paperfin Rascal, which was excellent at holding the ground early on, and it even dealt the very last points of damage.

Round 2 I played versus Blue/Black Faeries with some counterspells. His deck was good, but he never had an attacking threat, and my Warren Pilferers got me back some spells that were either countered or discarded with Thieving Sprites. Game 2 I resolved an early Ghostly Changeling which dealt most of the damage this game. His removal was useless against it, so he could no longer play defense like game 1. He had to move, and I was able to back it up, and kill some of his creatures when he was tapping.
