MTGCast #148 - Zendikar and Hybrid Hijinks!
"You read it somewhere else, but you heard it here first!"
This Week in Magic
Alara Reborn news is here, and we have some doozies. First, we have some scans of the Alara Reborn booster packs and starts the rumor of a potential return of Coiling Oracle. We also have 10 cards in the unofficial spoiler on MTGSalvation including a little gem titled Marisi Twinclaw showing a new usage of hybrid mana and confirming hyrbid mana in the set. And check out a scan of our Rumbling Slum-worthy Spellbreaker Behemoth!
Judges start salivating for this Maze of Ith judge promo spotted in the wild.
And there was that little announcement about Zendikar and the crazy rampant rumors regarding it being an Aztec, Mayan, dinosaurs, pirates, you name it set.
Eric also fills us in on some the updates on thestarkington post about the backpack thieving ring we discussed earlier that was uncovered at GP: Chicago.
What We've Been Playing
Tom is on the Pauper train still, Eric talks about his PTQ, and Gavin admits he finally did some Conflux drafting and played some MTGO.
