Q: Can I imprint an artifact card on a Chrome Mox to make it provide colorless mana?
A: No. Colorless is not a color. You can Imprint an artifact, but you'll then have a useless Mox.
Q: I am at one life and I cast Tendrils of Agony without storm, targeting my opponent. He Misdirects the Tendrils so it now targets me. Does the loss of life and life gain from Tendrils happen at the same time, or do I lose two life, then gain two life, thus dying in the process?
A: They happen in order during the resolution of the spell, but you don't check State-Based Effects during the resolution of a spell. You lose two, then gain two - but when SBEs are checked, you're still at one.
Q: If you control an animated Stalking Stones, there is not a fate counter on it, and I sacrifice Oblivion Stone, does it still survive?
A: Yes, it will survive, because it's still a land (in addition to being a creature). It therefore doesn't qualify as"nonland."
Q: If you target two creatures with Blinding Beam to tap them and pay the entwine cost to keep them from untapping, what happens if one of the creatures leaves play before the spell resolves? Would the tapping effect get countered due to no legal targets?
This goes for many of these"target two" spells like Consume Strength. If you target the two creatures and one leaves play before resolution, is the spell countered because of the loss of the legal target?
A: No. The spell is only countered on resolution if all of its targets are illegal/invalid. If only one is, the spell still resolves in respect to the other. Blinding Beam Entwined has three targets, so even if the two creatures are invalid, the player still is.
Q: I have a question about what happens when you have more Mind's Desire copies from storm than cards left in your library. Say I have ten storm copies and only five cards left in my library. Do I end up losing the game from not being able to remove a card from the game, or do the extra storm copies just"fizzle"?
A: The extra Storm copies simply do nothing. They're not countered on resolution because there's no target involved. You don't get decked because it's a reveal, not a draw.
Q: If I have fewer than four cards in my library, am I still able to Impulse?
A: Yes. You try to follow the instructions as best as you can. You look at as many as you have, put one in your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library. It's not drawing, so you don't lose to decking.
Q: I'm a little confused with the wording on Extraplanar Lens. If I Imprint a mountain, do Volcanic Islands get to produce an additional mana? If I play a Blood Moon, do Tundras produce two red?
A: No and no. Extraplanar Lens triggers when a land of the same NAME is tapped for mana, meaning it only triggers when you tap a land named Mountain. Volcanic Island is not named Mountain, and Blood Moon doesn't change the Tundra's name - it just changes its sub-type.
Q: I have control of an opponent's creature with say, Bribery. And someone casts Wrath of God. I then cast Second Sunrise. Who gets that creature back? It was under my control, but then again it did go into their graveyard.
A: The owner will get the creature back because it went into his graveyard from play. Second Sunrise only cares into whose graveyard it went.
Q: I understand that Blood Moon will change Artifact Lands to Mountains because they are non-basic lands, but does the sub-type Artifact remain? In other words, do Artifact Lands affected by a Blood Moon in play still count as Artifacts? Would they then be Artifact Land - Mountain?
A: The type artifact will remain. Changing a sub-type (whatever to Mountain) doesn't change any types or super-types. Each"layer" (super-, type, sub-) is independent; changing one below doesn't affect one above at all. They'll be, as you point out,"Artifact Land - Mountain."
