Greetings! Welcome to the weekly Digest, the first in a series of new features designed to improve your reading experience here at Star City. I can honestly say that last week was one of the strongest weeks we've ever had - there were five outstanding articles on Wednesday alone, and the rest of the week was almost as good.

However, we put so much content up last week that you might have skipped past some great articles that should not go overlooked. This has been happening a lot - we've been looking at articles and going,"You know, those were great reads. Why didn't more people look at them?"

Therefore, every Monday from here on out, we're going to look back at the week that was and single out articles that we feel deserve special mention. Without further ado, I give you - the first StarCityGames Weekly Digest!

Fundamentals
On Wednesday, in perhaps the best piece of the week, longtime slacker and noted crank Jon Becker discussed the role that"Tomfidence" plays on your ability to win at competitive Magic. This article is a must-read for anyone interested in improving your play, or simply in one of the more subtle mental aspects of the game.

Constructed Strategy
Bennie Smith did a detailed analysis of States results in order to determine which cards from Mirrodin cut through the hype and delivered results at the Championships.

Also on Wednesday, I brought you discussions with Kai, Jeff Cunningham, and Josh Rider on how their teams prepared for New Orleans, what they thought of the latest Extended format, and analysis of how YMG, CMU-TOGIT, and Ze Germans fared in the end. Limited Strategy
On Wednesday, Joe"Joey Bags" Gagliardi delivered an excellent debut piece on Mirrodin's R/W archetype that stirred up some forum controversy about his pick orders.

On Tuesday, Steve Menendian dropped another deck bomb on the Type 1 community, unveiling the new Spoils-MaskNought deck for all the world to see.

Tournament Reports
On Wednesday, (in an article that most of you missed the first time around), Drew Ogle turned in one of the most entertaining reports of the States season with"The Battle of Richmond." If you like good storytelling and fun tournament reports, I highly advise you check this out.
