I took Wilt-Leaf over the first Burn Trail which I'm pretty sure was right. The hardest thing about this draft was deckbuilding. I decided not to run the Mentor and also cut one Woeleecher for the final build. I'm sure you're all happy to see that I finally drafted a deck that doesn't want Ember Gale. I decided to totally skimp on Mountains because of Wilt Leaf, Rune-Cervin Riders, and Suture Spirit.
Round 1 I played against mono Black. Game 1 I continued my recent trend of keeping a two-lander on the draw and never drawing more land. Game 2 I Firespouted three of his guys and then boosted my Bloodied Ghost with Medicine Runner. After that he killed my guys, I draw 6 straight lands, and lost to Divinity of Pride.
At this point I decided to take a few days off since so many drafts have come down to manaflood or screw and I'm pretty frustrated.
Until Monday...
Nick
