What a weekend! The first StarCityGames.com Invitational went off without a hitch attracting some of the best players in the country to Richmond Virginia for a tournament weekend like no other. Between the first $50000 Invitational the Standard and Legacy Opens and the debut of the Sunday Draft Opens there was hardly a moment devoid of gaming. Gerry Thompson’s epic victory over reigning Player of the Year was a story that one could hardly believe—the perennial bridesmaid of the Open circuit Gerry finally had a trophy to hoist and call his own. Valakut won the day in the Standard Open as well this time under the practiced guidance of Christian Calcano. And mere seconds ago Chris McCord clinched the Legacy Open with G/W Survival! See you in Kansas City everyone. The StarCityGames.com Open Series is bigger and better in 2011. Are you ready?
