StarCityGames.com Open Series

Goblins did it again! If you aren’t willing to give Goblins their due now then you must be insane—the deck has won two Legacy Opens in a row and today’s winner barely even cast Goblin Lackey in the Top 8. Iain Bartolomei overcame Gerry Thompson in yet another bridesmaid story for our Invitational champion but it’s a long season. The smart money says Gerry hoists another trophy and soon. Meanwhile Invitational runner-up and Player of the Year Alex Bertoncini also found himself in a too-familiar second-place. Adam Prosak smashed his face in the Standard Open finals RUG mirror early this morning clinching his first Open win. Adam had an awkward 0-2 in his format of choice Legacy but them’s the breaks. No one’s crying for you Adam!

RUG is back on top of Standard and Goblins has spent the last two weekends proving that you guys aren’t adapting enough to beat it. I can’t wait to see what Indianapolis brings—join us there in just a few weeks!
