I really messed this one up. I had a great deal of difficulty deciding on my second color, and paid for it by making the wrong decision. I put far too much stock in the late Ghost Ship as a signal. I should have realized based on the fact that my last few picks were all mediocre Black playables that I should have been in Black. It was my hope that pack 2 would be good, since I didn't pass much Blue. Even in the third pack, if I had just decided to give up on Blue and take the Strangling Soots my deck would have been quite good. Oh well.

I lost a miserable first round to another mediocre Blue/Red deck, although he was splashing White for Evangelize and Momentary Blink. I double mulliganed and got destroyed in the first game. Game 2 my draw was pretty good, and I was able to use Rift Bolt and Grapeshot to wrath him on turn 6. Game 3 got to the point where I had two creatures to his empty board and hand, and we're both at pretty high life totals. He immediately draws Pardic Dragon and wins with a few attacks for seven.
