This is an example of a draft gone very very wrong. It started off fine, but despite knowing that Blue was completely cut off I couldn't find another color to get into. I figured it would be good pack 2, since I didn't pass any, but I was wrong about that. Pack 3 I even considered my deck so bad that I decided to raredraft Extirpate to try and salvage it.

Round 1 I played against a 1560. Game 1 my draw worked out very well so I was able to use all my mana every turn. I even drew Looter the turn before I was going to cast Dark Withering anyway. Game 2 was the opposite. Despite drawing a good amount of both lands and spells, I was always a step behind, and my turns were always awkward with mana left over. Game 3 I mulliganed into a rather unimpressive draw without creatures, but was fortunate enough to draw Looter on turn 3. That plan came to a halt when he played Shadow Sliver on his turn 3. This time I drew Careful Consideration the turn I wanted to cast Dark Withering, so that was essentially a free four cards which won me the game.

Game 2 I got bashed in the first game, then my opponent kept a two-lander game 2, and a one-lander game 3.

It wasn't quite a miracle, but it certainly was fortunate to get a split out of this deck.
