With the second pick of this draft I was looking to get into an archetype I haven't gotten to draft much, but I've been successful with when I've had it: Black/White Rebels. Unfortunately, White was cut off from me so I had to move into Green. During the draft it felt like I should've been in Red, but looking back, there was never really a good time to move into it. I know people are going to question the Stuffy Doll pick. I've simply been unimpressed by Stuffy lately, and I felt the Gemhide Sliver, together with the Search for Tomorrow from the first pack, would give me the ability to splash something later on.

Round 1 I played against Gerard Fabiano. In the first round he drew the good half of his deck, playing Sulfurous Blast and Torchling which I simply couldn't handle. Game 2 he played turn 1 Keldon Marauders using Simian Spirt Guide. He got me to about eight before he ran out of spells and I beat him with real cards. Game 3 was a race, and I was able to win it with Ana Battlemage the turn before he was going to win.

Round 2 I played against a Blue/Red deck, splashing Green for Intet. Game 1 he got ahead early but I was able to Haunting Hymn away his hand then kill his guys with Strangling Soot. Unfortunately he then dew Word of Seizing which took out two Giant Dustwasps, my only offence, then he drew Havenwood Wurm to kill me. Game 2 I got ahead early, but was stopped when he played Intet. I built up guys for a couple turns, then Sooted away all his blockers and alpha struck twice for the win. Game 3 he kept a hand without an Island and didn't play anything for the first four turns, and I had a quick draw which gave him no time to recover.
