StarCityGames.com is proud to present Grand Prix: Salt Lake City! This weekend of incredible Magic features fantastic Standard action where anyone can enter and be eligible for tens of thousands in cash prizes! The action begins on Saturday followed by a cut of the top finishers to battle it out on Sunday with prizes going all the way down to 64th place!

More Than Just the Grand Prix

We will be running Standard format Grand Prix Trials all day Friday (starting at noon), with the top prize for each being three incredibly valuable byes for the Grand Prix Itself!

The fun doesn't stop there. On Friday we'll have a full complement of side events for you, including a Sealed Deck Two-Headed Giant Challenge at 5PM, a Standard format Challenge at 7PM, and 4-8 Player Side Events all day long! Moving into Saturday we have the Grand Prix itself starting at 10AM, another Sealed Deck Two-Headed Giant Challenge for yourself and a friend beginning at 2PM, a Standard Format StarCityGames.com Invitational Qualifier at 2PM, a crazy fun Standard Sealed Event (sealed deck format with one pack from each legal standard set) at 4PM, a Legacy Challenge at 6PM and 4 & 8 Player side events all day long!

But we're not done! On Saturday we start Day 2 of the Grand Prix at 9AM, and have a Standard format StarCityGames.com Open at 10AM! At noon we feature another Sealed Deck Two-Headed Giant Challenge, at 2PM we feature at Modern format Challenge, along with 4 & 8 man side events all day!

Tournament Byes

Byes will be given to players in the Grand Prix based on the following criteria (Byes are not cumulative throughout the season or year. Byes do not pass down under any circumstances. Players that accumulate multiple byes to a particular Grand Prix tournament receive only the bye for the greatest number of rounds):

Third-Round Byes

* Players with a Players Club level of 4 or higher
* Top 300 Players in the last Competitive Planeswalker Points Season
* Winners of Grand Prix: Salt Lake City Trial tournaments.

Second-Round Byes

* Players with a Players Club level of 2 or 3
* Top 2000 Players in the last Competitive Planeswalker Points Season

First-Round Byes

* Players with a Players Club level of 1
* Top 15000 Players in the last Competitive Planeswalker Points Season

Trial winners

People who win a Trial event are awarded 3 byes in the Grand Prix that it feeds. Trial byes are not cumulative with other byes and do not pass down.

• Offering to “alter” cards in exchange for some form of compensation
• Utilizing an excessive amount of space when trading
• Using suitcases, handcarts, luggage carts, etc. for the purpose of transporting excessive amounts of trade stock.
