This year, Star City Events is bringing an action-packed schedule of Magic: the Gathering, VS System and Yu-Gi-Oh! Premier Events to Heroes Con in Charlotte, North Carolina!
However, unlike most tournaments run at conventions, players will NOT be required to purchase a convention badge in addition to their tournament entry fee(s)! In fact, players will actually receive a FREE one-day Heroes Con badge just for entering any one of the tournaments listed below!

Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that they will NOT be running the "official" Magic: the Gathering Amateur Championship at this year's Origins, but that’s ok ... because StarCityGames.com has Magic: the Gathering fans covered! Open only to players with zero life time Pro points, the 2006 StarCityGames.com Magic: the Gathering Amateur Challenge will debut that same weekend at Heroes Con, and award a whopping fifty boxes in prize support!

The popular StarCityGames.com "Power Nine" Tournament Series comes to North Carolina, and eighteen pieces of "Power" are up for grabs! Ten proxies are allowed, and the events are open to all players, so mark your calendars and make plans to join us!
Prizes: Each day, we'll award a COMPLETE SET of the "Power Nine" (Black Lotus, Ancestral Recall, Time Walk, Timetwister, Mox Sapphire, Mox Emerald, Mox Ruby, Mox Pearl and Mox Jet) to be "drafted" by the top eight finishers. The winner will get to choose their prize first, then the second place finisher will get their pick, etc. This will continue until each of the top eight players has selected their prize. The first place finisher will also receive whichever card is left after each player has selected their prize. This prize payout is GUARANTEED by Star City Events regardless of attendance!
