Q: I cast Wrath of God and then Morningtide. If my opponent then casts Second Sunrise, does it take the cards from the"removed from game" zone and put them into play? Or only cards that were put into your graveyard, and are still in your graveyard?
A: You only get back the cards that are in your graveyard when the Second Sunrise resolves. If they're removed before then, they stay removed.
Q: If I were to play a Conspiracy and name"Island" as the creature type... Could I then use a Polluted Delta (or any other blue fetchland) to"fetch" a creature card?
A: No, because you can't name"Island." It's not a valid creature type.
Q: I have a question about Scythe of the Wretched. My friend and I were playing a game last night and he was using Scythe of the Wretched to equip a Myr Enforcer and attack with it. I blocked with an unequipped Myr Enforcer and a Neurok Spy.
My question is, if his Myr Enforcer dies at the same time as my creatures, does he still gain control of my two creatures even though the Scythe is no longer equipping anything when my creatures reach the graveyard? And if so, is it up to him which of my two creatures the Scythe will equip when they go back to play under his control?
A: Yes, the Scythe will trigger for each creature that was damaged by his Myr Enforcer. He can choose how to stack those triggers because he controls the Scythe trigger, meaning he can have the Scythe attached to the one he wants.
Q: I have a soul foundry in play with Broodstar imprinted on it. When I tap mana to activate the Soul Foundry's ability, do I get to use the affinity for artifacts and pay one less mana to activate Soul Foundry's ability?
A: No. Nothing ever changes the mana cost/converted mana cost of a card. It's the value in the upper right-hand corner of the card; you must still pay ten for the Broodstar copy.
Q: I have a Megatog in play and my opponent controls a lot of artifacts. If he casts Grab the Reins with entwine on my Megatog, will he get priority between the two Grab the Reins modes so that he can sac his artifacts and kill me?
A: No. Players do not get priority during the resolution of a spell. He'll have to sacrifice the Megatog at its current power.
Q: Is Sulfuric Vortex able to kill a player who owns a Worship and a creature? How does this works?
A: Sulfuric Vortex can't kill a player with Worship and a creature. Worship's replacement effect doesn't prevent damage; it changes what damage does to a player's life total.
Q: I have a question about the interaction of Isochron Scepter with two other cards: Defense Grid and Rule of Law. If I activate my Scepter with a Boomerang imprinted on it, does that count as my one spell for the turn for Rule of Law? Do I have to pay an extra three to the 'Grid if I activate the Scepter on my opponents turn?
Q: Yes and yes. You're playing the copied spell card. It counts as your one for the turn (just like it counts for Storm). If there are additional mandatory costs, you are required to pay them. The Scepter only pays the mana cost for you; everything else is on you.
Q: I know Soul Foundry copies all abilities, but how would you play morph? I want to use it with Warbreak Trumpeter; would it be possible to play it face-down and get the tokens?
A: You can't play the Trumpeter copy face-down. Morph is an alternate cost that you can announce while playing the spell, and you don't have the opportunity to do that when you activate Soul Foundry.
Q: Me and my opponent both had Oblivion Stones in play. I tap four and use my Oblivion Stone to put a fate counter on my Sneaky Homunculus. He then taps five and activates his Oblivion Stone. Would my Sneaky Homunculus be saved because he has a fate counter on him?
A: Yes. Oblivion Stone doesn't care how the fate counters got there or who put them on so long as they're fate counters. Your Sneaky Homunculus will be saved.
Q: If I have to regenerate an equipped creature, does the equipment stay on that creature or will I have to re-equip it? Also, am I correct in assuming that regenerating an enchanted creature saves the creature but not the enchantment?
A: Because the creature never leaves play - regeneration is a destruction-replacement event - the equipment stays attached, just like local enchantments.
Q: If I imprint an Exalted Angel on a Soul Foundry, does the Exalted Angel token cost two less to play if I have Urza's Incubator in play?
A: No. Nothing ever changes the mana cost/converted mana cost of a card. It's always the value in the upper right-hand corner.
Q: I have a question about Sapphire Medallion and Isochron Scepter. If I have the Medallion out and then play the Scepter, can I imprint a three-mana card like Forbid, or does the imprint card have to have a normal converted mana cost of two?
A: Cost-to-play reducers like Sapphire Medallion don't change the mana cost of a card, they only help you pay for it. Regardless of how many Medallions you control, the converted mana cost of Forbid is always three. You can't Imprint it on the Scepter.
