Author's Note: This is a form letter for my budget Dragon Deck. I handed it out immediately after I destroyed some kids and their pointless decks at a hobby center tournament.

I have noticed your look of amazement, as you do not understand as to how you died, merely that you died. It is ok, I am here to help you through your time of grieving. What has happened is actually quite simple.
The deck is designed to take advantage of Worldgorger Dragon coming in and out of play via Animate Dead or a similarity like-minded spell and abusing the fact that permanents come into play untapped once they have phased out... Wait, there is that look of being lost again. A more simple explanation.
Remember a minute ago, after you played a land and then said go? What happened then is actually quite simple.
I went second, I always elect to go second, its just habit and its polite.
I played a fetchland, either Polluted Delta or Flooded Strand to get Underground Sea. After that I most likely played a Brainstorm and said go.
You did something meaningless, most likely Shocking me.
I then proceeded to"go off." I played yet another fetchland on my turn, grabbed Volcanic Island and presumed to laugh to myself. I cast Funeral Charm, targeting myself, placing a Worldgorger Dragon into my graveyard. I then proceeded to cast Dark Ritual, then followed this up with an Animate Dead, Dance of The Dead, or Necromancy.
If you carefully read the text of the Dragon, you see the following:
Flying, trample
When Worldgorger Dragon comes into play, remove all other permanents you control from the game. When Worldgorger Dragon leaves play, return the removed cards to play under their owners' control.
7/7
So, here is what happens, in chronological order.
1) A enchantment comes into play, bringing the Dragon into play from the graveyard.
2) The dragon removes all permanents from the game, including the enchantment that allows the dragon to remain in play.
3) Once the enchantments leaves play, the dragon is also forced to leave play.
4) All the permanents return to play untapped, including the enchantment that was used to recur the dragon.
5) Go to 1).
Quite simple, no? I then proceeded to"go infinite." To go infinite means that I repeat the above process numerous times, generating a so-called infinite amount of mana. This allows me to play out the second part of my deck.
My deck is literally loaded down with"search" cards. A search card allows one to draw cards, searching the library for specific cards.
My favorite search card in this deck is Read the Runes. With the infinite amount of mana now available because of the interaction between Worldgorger Dragon and the Animate Dead spell, I can set the X in Read the Runes to the number of cards remaining in my deck, and keep which ever three cards I chose.
8 Cards in hand from going first
-1 Fetchland number 1 (7 Cards in Hand)
-1 From Brainstorm (6 cards in Hand)
+ 1 From second draw phase (7 Cards in Hand)
- 1 From Funeral Charm (6 Cards in Hand)
-1 From Dark Ritual (5 Cards in Hand)
-1 From Animate Spell (4 Cards in Hand)
- 1 From Read the Runes(3 Cards in Hand)
The cards that I choose are often three Counter Spells.
Now that my entire library is in my graveyard, and I have an infinite amount of mana, I break the combo.
You see, Worldgorger Dragon and Animate Dead continue to interact in the aforementioned way until the combo is disturbed somehow. Either via Disenchant on my Animate Dead or a creature removal spell targeting the Dragon.
How I get around this constant resurrection is simple. I chose I different target for my Animate Dead, namely Flamewave Invoker. You will see that Volcanic Island produces Red mana, and with an infinite amount of mana, I deal the twenty damage (or more if you cast a first turn Healing Salve). If you try and stop my combo, I use the counter magic I mentioned earlier.
So, for all you running a Budget version of Dragon, print this off, play your game, then hand the opponent this sheet. The rest explains itself.
