Rules Tip of the Day: Currently there is no way for a flip card to flip back to its original version unless the card leaves play and then returns.
Q: If a creature equipped with Neko-Te is blocked by a bigger creature, can I rescue the attacking creature AND keep the blocker tapped? For example if before damage resolves, I were to use Astral Slide or Otherwordly Journey to remove my creature from the game. When the damage resolves, does Neko-Te still tap the blocker 'knowing' it was the previously equipped creature that did the damage?
A: No. Neko-Te's ability will only trigger when the creature it is currently equipped to deals damage to a creature. If the creature is not in play or equipped to Neko-Te when the damage is dealt then Neko-Te's ability will not trigger. So you can either save this creature or have Neko-Te lock down the blocking creature but not both.
Q: How does Stifle interact with the Ninjutsu mechanic?
A: Ninjutsu is an activated ability and it can be countered by Stifle. If you Stifle this ability then the unblocked attacking creature that was returned to it's owner's hand will stay there, as returning it was part of the cost of the Ninjutsu ability.
Q: If I turn Mistform Warchief into a Moonfolk, and then sacrifice it to play Patron of the Moon, does Patron of the Moon receive the benefit of the Warchief's ability and make it cost an addition 1 mana less?
A: No. This is because when you play one of the Patrons by utilizing the Offering ability you sacrifice an appropriate creature when you start the announcement. If you sacrifice the Mistform Warchief at this point, then it will not be in play when you calculate the cost of Patron of the Moon and it will not further reduce the cost you pay by one.
Q: Can the appropriate Genjus enchant Dual lands? Can an "Enchant Island" enchant a Volcanic Island since it "counts as an island."
A: Yes. You can enchant a Volcanic Island with either Genju of the Falls or Genju of the Spires as it has the basic land types of Island and Mountain.
Q: If I animate a Genju, is that land a creature until end of turn even if the enchantment leaves play?
A: Yes, it will still be a creature until the end of the current turn even if the Genju enchantment leaves play.
Q: I used Kiki-Jiki to make a copy of my Ember-Fist Zubera, and then attacked with it. My opponent then took control of it with Blind with Anger. What happens at the end of the turn? I thought the triggers would act separately with Blind resolving prior to Kiki's sacrifice effect. My reasoning being that "until end of turn" meant at the beginning of the end of turn step return this creature to it's owner's control while Kiki-Jiki's says "sacrifice it at end of turn" allowing it to return to my control prior to the sacrifice (considering APNAP the blind would resolve prior to the Kiki trigger). However my opponent said that Kiki-Jiki’s triggered ability will resolves first. Who is right?
A: First of all effects that last 'until end of turn' are not triggered abilities. That phrase denotes the duration for the effect. Effects like that will last until the cleanup step of the current turn, which takes place immediately after the end of turn step. This is after triggered abilities that trigger at end of turn have triggered and resolved. This means that at the beginning of the end of turn step the delayed triggered ability created by Kiki-Jiki's ability will go on the stack and attempt to have you sacrifice the copy Zubera when it resolves. However as you do not control it you will be unable to sacrifice it, so it will remain in play. Then the change of control effect from Blind with Anger will end and you will regain control of the Zubera. As the delayed triggered ability has already resolved, this Zubera token will remain in play until some other effect causes it to leave play.
Q: Can I sacrifice Bloodshot Cyclops to it pay for its own ability and have it deal damage?
A: Yes, there is nothing that prohibits you from sacrificing the Cyclops to its own ability.
Q: How do Humility and Wonder interact (asssuming I have an Island)? Do creatures get flying?
A: It depends on when Humility comes into play and when Wonder went to your graveyard. This interaction is determined by the timestamp order of theses two effect, and Wonder's timestamp is determined by when it went to the graveyard. So if the Humility entered play after Wonder went to your graveyard, then your creatures will not have flying. If Wonder went to your graveyard after Humility left play, then they will have flying.
