- Ben Kowal: Gifts Belcher.
- Josh Reynolds: Gifts Belcher.
- Shane Stoots: Stax.
- Kevin Cron: Stax.
- Jacob Orlove: U/G Fish.
- Marc Perez: U/W Fish.
Eric Miller: The Riddler.
- Andy Probasco: Gifts Belcher.
- Dave Kleppinger: Gifts Belcher.
- Steve Menendian: Stax.
Would you still choose it again?
- BK: Without a doubt.
- JR: Yeah.
- SS: No.
- KC: Yes.
- JO: Absolutely.
- MP: I really like it.
- EM: Yes.
- AP: Yes.
- DK: Yes.
- SM: Maybe.
What Saviors card will see the most play in Type 1?
- BK: The blue Fork. (Twincast, folks! - The Ferrett)
- JR: Twincast.
- SS: Twincast or Pithing Needle.
- KC: Pithing Needle.
- JO: I've only been looking at it for Type 4 so far, where half of it could see play.
- MP: Definitely the blue flip guy - Erayo, Soratami Ascendant? The blue Fork will see play in more decks, though.
- EM: Blue Fork.
- AP: The blue flip creature.
- DK: Twincast.
- SM: No comment. (Ooh, how secretive! -JP)
What do you think of pros playing Type 1?
- BK: I think it's adorable.
- JR: Bring 'em on! It can only make us better.
SS: Whatever. In the end it'll be good for the format, but I think that it's really much ado about nothing.
- KC: I think that their play skill is above the level of Type 1 players, but being unfamiliar with the format will cancel that out a little bit.
- JO: The ones that don't put any effort in will find it harder than they expect.
- MP: That's ridiculous? How much time are they putting in? That's directly proportional to the results that they'll get.
- EM: Just leave it to us amateurs.
- AP: I think it's a good thing that will motivate us.
- DK I think that we'll see one or two in the top 8. Maybe, maybe three. I think that Knut is either overrating them or underrating us.
- SM: I have no idea how that will turn out.
Should Mana Drain be restricted?
- BK: Hell, no!
- JR: No. Mana Drain is terrible.
- SS: Yes. Mana Drain is the worst thing about Type 1.
- KC: Not yet.
- JO: Not right now.
- MP: Why not? Change is good.
- EM: Nope.
- AP: I can't imagine playing Type 1 without Mana Drain.
- DK: Noooo way.
- SM: It depends.
Should Yawgmoth's Will be banned?
- BK: No. Tinker, maybe. It's just better
- JR: It shouldn't - but I wouldn't cry about it. It doesn't do anything good for the format.
- SS: No. It's not necessary.
- KC: I haven't actually put a lot of thought into that.
- JO: If anything were going to get banned, it would be either Will or Tinker.
- MP: I think that opens up too many doors.
- EM: They should unban Chaos Orb.
- AP: I think that would disrupt too many precedents.
- DK: I think it would probably be good for the format.
- SM: Ban it!
After you drop, are you going to play in the prerelease or are you going to that kid's graduation party next door?
- BK: Actually, I've done both already.
- JR: That would take away from my World of Warcraft playing.
- KC: I would probably go and play Type 4.
- MP: I don't want to go to some kid's prom. Besides, I'm going to be winning.
- DK: I already dropped and I'm in a flight right now.
- SM: I'll probably be doing match coverage.
Did you get stuck on the Beltway during your drive here?
- BK: I actually got stuck in New York for four hours when I was just supposed to be passing through for maybe an hour.
- KC: It took us about an hour and a half longer than we expect to get from DC to Richmond.
- JO: I flew in, and I got stuck in the Atlanta airport for four hours.
SM: We were on it for at least an hour and a half.
