What is LiveStreaming?
Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is livestreaming? Many Magic players are now adding live commentary to their games when playing on Magic Online. They do this by showing what's happening on their desktop in real time and display it as a video stream. Livestreaming their games allows them to chat with the Magic community while playing, mostly as a way to share tech, gameplay advice, and decklists with the audience. The audience can then chime back with their own advice, questions, and comments. How do I get a livestream?First, you have to have a Twitch.TV account. Follow the instructions and tutorials on the Twitch.tv website to get your stream up and running. StarCityGames.com cannot help you troubleshoot any streaming issues. How will people know I’m streaming?Sign up for an SCG account and add your Twitch.tv username to your user profile! When you do this, you'll show up on the front page of SCG whenever you're live. The better your stream is, the higher people will rank you, and the higher you'll show up on the list. My account isn’t showing up on the front page. Some streams may be blocked if they show inappropriate content, including pornographic, non-Magic related, or illegal material. Why are streams marked “18+”?These indicate streams which may have adult language. How do I report a streamer?Use the Report Stream button and detail why you are reporting this user.
